Noah's Birthday

Its been a strange few days trying to come to terms with Noahs diagnosis. Knowing his treatment may start within the next week we were so pleased Jake & Noah had the chance to enjoy their Birthday Party before the treatment started. Jakey's 6th birthday had been the week before and Noah's 4th Birthday was 10 days later. I had to contact all the guests parents and ask them not to come if they had been ill recently or in contact with anybody sick. A couple of people were unable to come due to sickness which was a real shame. But we have to stay on the side of caution from now. Luckily most of their friends could come and everybody who did had a great day!  I happened to be super organised this year and had done all the party prep before we found out about Noah's Cancer. We were trying to keep it small with only a handful of their friends each. It was spiderman/superhero themed and Ollie did the honours of dressing up in a skin tight spiderman costume -which the kids loved! Our homemade pinata went down a storm. As did our 'homemade' birthday cake!

It was such a relaxed atmosphere (although plenty noisy enough) as there were only 9 children including ours. Friends and family helped with decorating and tidying up. It was the first time I've actually managed to enjoy myself at my own kids party and feel the kids had the best time with their nearest and dearest. Thank you to everyone that came and made that day special for both Jake & Noah. I'm very aware that it's not only going to affect Noah, but Jakey dramatically too. It meant the world to me to spend that family time together before things get tough.
